Welcome to Voices from Africa Youth (VAY)

Enhancing Educational, Financial, Development and Entrepreneurial Opportunities for Youth and Communities.

Voices from Africa Youth Foundation (VAY) was registered in Kenya in May 2024 as a Trust after successfully transitioning from Voluntary Youth Philanthropists (VYP) which was registered in 2000 as an NGO.  This transition aimed at expanding the operational mandate of the organization to include more target groups, layers and sectors.

Under this pillar, communities identify their most pressing needs, then brainstorm on possible solutions.

This pillar focuses on providing mentorship, financial and life skills support to youth in schools.

This pillar will target women at the community level with table banking so that they can have a revolving fund.

This pillar will target communities and young people for capacity building in areas of leadership, human rights, devolution and governance.

This pillar will work in areas that experience periodic violent conflicts due to ethnicized politics and competition over scarce resources due to climate change.

This pillar will focus on trainings, seminars, study groups and other sustainable training programmes and activities that aim at developing effective networks.

This pillar will focus on collaborating with other professional bodies, NGOs, government ministries, donors and private bodies with similar objectives of fostering entrepreneurship.

The pillar will focus on educating and sensitizing the youth and communities on climate change and its linkages to poverty and conflicts.
